The Dotty Folder is a custom sized cover for A4 and A5 folders. It includes four pocket additions on the inside covers. Two large slip pockets, a post it pocket for two sets and a three pen pocket. These covers give you a great opportunity to create plush, attractive folders and planners which express your personal style and originality.

We originally designed these for ourselves for our personal planners and work diaries etc. We have added planner inserts to the A5 size to create a gorgeous personal planner at a fraction of the cost of some of the ones available on the high street. We have used the A4 size to store all our favourite pdf patterns. These would make great gifts for students, professionals and children. Go crazy and create themed folders for yourself or make some quick gifts.

Some of the features we like best is the opportunity to show off our originality. And with the vast variety of planner inserts and printables available on line you have the chance to make a completely themed planner exactly as you would love.

This is a relatively simple make, we have included guidance on how to adjust the size if necessary. The main skills needed to make this is top stitching and ironing hems for the floating pockets. The rest is straight sewing.

The main pattern pieces have points indicated for where to resize if needed. The arrangements of the pockets has been suggested in the pattern but you can change these to fit your needs. You might want two sets of pen pockets for example or you may want to divide the post it pocket into smaller divides for crayons. If you are unsure we would suggest you go with our layout for your first make, once you are hooked you might add in your own pattern hacks to create even more of a unique item. There is enough space to play with on the panels and we love doing fussy cuts for the top pocket layers.
